Sapphire & diamond three stone twist style engagement ring dating to the late Art Deco era. A square shaped vivid royal blue sapphire is set an angle on the finger. Flanking it are smaller diamonds set in platinum topped settings. The band is yellow gold in back with the top near to the gemstones in platinum and decorated in an engraved beaded design and lined in milgrain. The platinum and yellow gold contrast beautifully as do the sapphire with the diamonds. Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.

Sapphire: medium blue, square cut, approx 3.5 mm and approx 0.25 carats.

Diamonds: 2, approx 0.015 carats total weight.

Marked as 18ct PLAT. This ring is 18 cart yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
