Gorgeous Art Deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring! An emerald cut blue sapphire is bezel set in platinum and lined in miligrain beading. Forming a halo around the rich blue sapphire are 14 transitional cut to early round brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds are bead set and the bright white of the diamond compliments the blue sapphire perfectly. The white gold band of this ring is narrow, making the sapphire and diamond top stand out. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: rich, deep blue, emerald cut, approx 4.75 mm by 3.5 mm and estimated in setting as 0.52 carats.

Diamonds: 14, transitional to early round brilliant cut, estimated in setting as 0.42 carats total weight, I / J colour, SI clarity.

Hallmarked as 18ct Plat. This ring is mostly 18 carat white gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
