Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. This ring has been crafted into a wide marquise style shape. In the centre are two square cut blue sapphires which are bezel set in a kite orientation and are lined in milgrain beading. Between the sapphires and at the points are bead set diamonds, four in total. This wide ring is substantial on the finger and design in a classic Art Deco style. Circa 1930s, likely British in origin.
This ring has been partial reshanked or resized using a more rosy coloured gold in the past. This is on the palm side and does not notice when worn.
Sapphires: 2, square shape, step cut, approx 3.4 - 3.6 mm and estimated in setting as 0.20 - 0.25 carats each.
Diamonds: 4, eight cut, approx 0.08 carats together.
Not marked, tested as 18 carat gold.
Size: UK - L; US - 5 3/4; EU - 16.4. This ring cannot be made any smaller. It can be sized several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 6 mm by 14.5 mm and stands 3.3 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 2.1 grams.
