Stunning ruby and diamond daisy shaped cluster ring dating to the Art Deco era. Set in platinum is a luscious pinkish red ruby. It looks like candy! The ruby is bezel set into a platinum top and outlined in tiny pave set rose cut diamonds. Rows of milgrain beading outline both the ruby and the diamonds. This ring is set low to the finger on a narrow band of 18 carat yellow gold. Circa 1915s - 1930s.

Ruby: pinky red in colour, round cut, approx 4.2 mm wide. Calculated in setting as 0.45 carats. This corundum gemstone is a pinky red colour. Corundum is variety of gemstone which if any colour except pinkish red to red is called sapphire and if pinkish red to red is called ruby (yep, they're the same stone!). In most of the world this colour would be considered to be a ruby. In the US this colour is a bit more pink and may be considered to be a pink sapphire.

Diamonds: 10, roughly cut rose cut diamonds, each measures approx 1.2 mm.

Marked 18ct & Pt. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
