A wonderful sapphire blue paste and marcasite silver ring!  A bright medium blue sapphire is set in four double claw style prongs.  On either side the shoulders are shaped into a stepped design, each adorned with three marcasite, a shimmery grey stone.  This is a lovely costume piece crafted in sterling silver.  It's low enough to the finger to wear everyday and large enough to make a great statement piece if you're the cocktail and dinner party type!  Circa 1930s, French in origin.

Blue paste: medium blue, round cut, measures approx 9.25 mm wide.

Marcasite: 6 total, each measures approx 1.5 - 1.6 mm.

Marked on the band with French hallmarks, tested as Sterling Silver.
