Art Deco sterling silver bangle bracelet with gold bird design. A beautiful background of foliage is engraved into the top of this bracelet and has been accented with a bird and flowers topped in 9 carat rose gold overlay. The shape is a court style with a gently curved exterior and interior. The back section is plain, wide and undecorated. This cuff is oval in shape, to better fit the wrist and stay upright. It closes with a tongue in groove style clasp which makes an audible click and has an attached safety chain. Marked S&P for the maker Smith & Pepper. Circa 1920s, British in origin.
In good condition with some small dents on back in keeping with age and wear.
Hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, date letter C for 1927. Also contains the maker's mark for Smith & Pepper.
Measures 17.5 cm / 6.9 inches internal circumference and is 5.97 cm / 2.35 inches by 5.3 cm / 2 inches in diameter.
Measures approx 16.4 mm wide and sits approx 4.5 mm tall off the wrist.
Weighs 24.6 grams.
