Art Deco emerald and diamond engagement ring set in platinum. A centre light green coloured rectangular step-cut emerald is secured by small corner claws. The emerald is a beautiful, glowing soft green in colour and the classic rectangle shape. The corner prongs flow nicely into leaf shapes on either side of the emerald and each leaf is set with a single eight cut diamond. Each of the leaves is lined in milgrain beading and below each set is a bezel set straight baguette cut diamond. A small eight cut diamond leading to the unadorned platinum band completes the look. The mix of step and round cuts gives this ring visual interest while keeping it simple and classic. Circa 1930s, likely British in origin.
