Art Deco diamond solitaire engagement ring.  An old mine cut diamond is set down into an illusion style platinum topped ring.  The top of the setting is engraved so that it reflects light and gives the impression of the diamond being larger.  On each side of the keystone is marquise shaped cathedral shoulder with a design engraved in the top.  A small engraved bead is set into the shoulder right above where the platinum topped setting gives way to the bright 18 carat yellow gold shank.  Circa 1910s - 1920s, British in origin.

Diamond: 1 old mine cut, approx 0.17 carats, 3.5 mm, G / H colour, I clarity due to a small chip on the crown.

Hallmarked as 18ct Plat.  This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the very tops of the shoulders and were the diamond is set in platinum.

Measures 6.53 mm wide and rises 6.17 mm tall off the finger.
