This is a glittering diamond wedding set with an engagement ring and wedding ring. I don't think the rings are a perfect match but they've been together for more than 70 years which I think is just wonderful! There's something romantic, and quite like marriage, about it. They aren't perfect but they're pretty darn good together!
The engagement ring holds a round brilliant diamond set in fishtail style triple claw prongs. The prongs give the diamond a bit of a square look. Down each shoulder are two round brilliant diamonds set in a channel setting. The channel ends in a triangle shape which points down the knife edge shank.
The wedding ring holds seven round brilliant cut diamonds in a channel setting which is lined with miligrain beading on the inside edge. This wedding band has the same style as the engagement ring with a triangle shape design on each side and a soft knife edge shank which rounds between the fingers.
Both rings contain the same maker's mark of an H in a diamond shape inside the ring. The wedding ring is set a wee bit lower than the engagement ring but both rings have the same style and design.
