Art Deco diamond engagement ring dating the 1930s. This platinum engagement ring is set with a transitional cut diamond in triple claw prongs. The diamond is an older cutting style, a precursor to the modern round brilliant, with a rounder, more even outline and a lower crown while still having a chunkier style faceting pattern. The half carat diamond is set in platinum in fishtail style triple claw prongs. Accent diamonds are set into the tapering shoulders. The smaller two diamonds of these are set into a geometric shape while the larger on is in a pretty tulip shape. This little hidden flower is just too sweet! This little cluster of three diamonds gives way to a slender, unadorned shank. Circa 1930s, Art Deco original.

Diamond: old cut centre is approx 5.05 mm and calculated in setting as 0.50 carats, G / H colour, SI clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting. Six single cut diamonds measure 1.4 mm to 1.8 mm each for a total of 0.10 carats together.

Stamped 10% IRID PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as platinum. The interior has a partial personal inscription, "3-25-37", the rest of which is illegible or lost due age, use and previous resizing.

Size: UK - I.5; US - 4.75; EU - 15,5. This ring can be sized between G.5 / 3.75 / 14,7 and M / 6.25 / 16,7. Resizing larger may require a partial reshank, we're happy to discuss this.

Measures approx 5.15 mm wide and by 4.15 mm deep at centre diamond. 1 mm band at back centre.

Weighs 2.7 grams.
