Beautiful red chalcedony and rock crystal beaded necklace on yellow gold chain. A narrow 9 carat yellow gold trace chain is strung with beads of carnelian which are shaped as pairs of half circles. In the middle of each carnelian bead is a beautiful clear faceted section of rock crystal. The combination of the deep brownish red chalcedony, clear crystal, and yellow gold is very attractive. Circa 1930s, likely European in origin.

Marked 9ct on the spring bolt clasp and on a plaque on the chain, between the 1st and 2nd beads from the end.
