Antique 9 carat rose gold fob pendant. This shield shaped gold medallion is engraved around the edges with a zigzag boarder and little flourishes. The centre is plain and polished, ready to be engraved. A crown tops the fob lending a wonderful regal look to this piece. The back of this fob is unadorned with hallmarks near the top. Circa 1920s, British in origin.
In good condition, the polished shield to the front shows a slight dent in keeping with age and wear. The camera doesn't pick up this dent when it's face on, please see angled photo.
This medal would have likely originally been worn on a gentleman's or ladies watch as an ornament or fob. It's a wonderful and decorative adornment which modern women tend to wear on a chain.
