Antique pave set turquoise earrings dating to the late 19th century. A domed cluster of bluish green turquoise are pave set in silver gilt. Framing this cluster is a 9 carat gold rim which is accented with a small twisted rope decoration. The gem set design swings from gold ear wires. These are lovely, pretty earrings, super bright with contrasting vivid gemstones and shiny gold. Circa mid to late 19th century turquoise cluster, possibly converted from another piece at a later date.

Turquoise: cabochon in cut, 14 total, 7 per earring, approx 3.4 mm to 3.6 mm each.

Not marked. Professionally tested as 9 carat gold and gilt metal. These earrings are made in two parts. The outer decorated rim and ear wires are crafted in 9 carat gold which is yellow in colour. The turquoise set circle is silver gilt - silver which has been plated with gold.

Measure approx 2.6 cm / 1 inches in total length by 1.6 cm / 0.63 inches wide.

Weigh 4.95 grams together.
