Antique enamel bird pendant dating to the Victorian era. This triangle shaped silver pendant features a large off-white enamel front with a brightly coloured bird standing among flowers. I think the bird is a golden pheasant. It looks a bit like a dodo bird other than the crest on it's head. The enamel is vivid in shades of gold, red, blue and green. A very unique and interesting pendant the likes of which we've not seen before! This silver pendant has a very light gold wash to it. Circa mid to late 19th century.
In very good condition, slight tarnish to the back side. Enamel is in fantastic condition.
Stamped 800, professionally tested and assessed as silver, 800 parts of 1000 (modern standard is 925).
