Antique 15 ct gold split ring dating to the Victorian era. A simple ring is unadorned and lightly squared in profile with mostly flat top and sides. This ring has a split, like a key ring, which pulls apart to allow charms to be added or jewellery to linked together. The split is about 25% of the way around and fastens tightly with the ends laying flat when closed so that they don't catch. Circa 19th century, 1860s - 1900, British in origin.
In good condition. There is some unevenness to the interior, which is slightly 0 in shape, likely from wear over time.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold. The colour is between rose and yellow gold, a warm peachy colour, as antique British gold often is.
Measures approx 16.8 mm outer diameter and 13.9 mm inside diameter. 1.55 mm wide by 1.5 mm deep
Weighs 1.2 grams.
