Antique locket engraved with birds in flight and flowers. This circular locket is 9 carat gold front and back. On the front side is a single bird flying toward a half-hoop of flowers. The engraving on the back is very similar. Around the edges of this locket is flower repoussé design. A fancy flourish design is attached to the top and houses the bail. This locket opens from the side and contains the original frames with two pieces of perspex to protect photos, one piece of perspex seems to have been cut a bit smaller and may need to be replaced. Circa turn of the 20th century, early 1900s, British in origin.

This locket is two-toned. The section which the bird engraving is 9 carat rose gold while the section around the edge is more yellow in colour. The bail is 9 carat rose gold and we've put it on a rose gold chain so that the chain matches the majority of the locket's colour.

Locket marked 9ct front & back. This means that the front and back sections are covered in 9 carat gold while the insides are a base metal. The chain is solid 9 carat rose gold.

Measures 2.95 cm / 1.16 inches long and 2.47 cm /0.97 inches wide. This locket is on a modern 9 carat solid yellow gold chain, please choose between 40.5 cm (16 inches) and 45.5 cm (18 inches).
