Antique Large Paste Ring in Silver Filigree Setting, Edwardian to Art Deco Engagement Style Dinner Cocktail Ring.

An incredible paste and silver ring. A large paste measuring approx the same size as 2.50 carat diamond is set in a silver filigree setting. Four wide ribbon prongs hold the stone to the north, south, east and west. The setting slopes up to meet the paste and each side is set with three smaller clear paste. The edges of the shoulders are lined in milgrain beading. From the side, beneath the keystone, a pierced pattern which looks similar to small trees, can be seen. Circa 1900s - 1930s.
Old cut glass paste measures 8.7 mm wide with 6 additional paste accents measuring 1 - 1.2 mm each.
Not hallmarked, tested as silver.
Size: UK - L; US - 5 3/4; EU - 51 1/3. Sizing down to J.5 / 5.25 and up to O / 7.25 available for an additional fee.
Measures 9.48 mm wide and rises 8 mm tall on the finger.
Weighs 2.5 grams.
