Antique Faith, Hope & Charity sterling silver ring. Rare and fabulous example of a much coveted design. Across the top of the ring are three ovals, each with a textured background. Cross in the middle for faith, anchor to the right for hope, and heart to the left for charity. This sentiment, a wearable reminder of important virtues in one's life. There are five little dots on each side of the band and four between the ovals to total 14. These could represent the stations of the cross, I'm unsure, but subtle meanings are often found in jewellery. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.
In good condition. The beads down the left shoulder (by the anchor) are faded with time and use. The hallmarks are incredibly crisp!
Hallmarked for sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1915.
