Antique old mine cushion cut diamond engagement ring dating to the late 1800s. Nine diamonds are pave set into a platinum top. In the centre is the largest diamond, an elongated cushion cut weighing approx 0.16 carats. Framing the centre diamond are smaller old mine cut diamonds. The nine diamonds together create a square shape with scalloped edges. The effect is striking with the larger facets of the diamonds glittering in the light. This ring dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1870s - 1890s and is British in origin.

Diamonds: centre old elongated cushion cut measures approx 3.3 mm by 3 mm and is calculated in setting as 0.16 carats. 8 smaller old mine cut diamonds are approx 2.2 - 2.4 mm each. Total carat weight, calculated within the limits of the setting is 0.50carats, K - M colour, SI clarity.

Marked 18ct Plat. This ring is mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
