Antique Czech garnet bracelet dating to the late 19th century. This lovely bangle is designed as a single row of garnets. The garnets on top are large, oval flat cut garnets which are tapered in size down to round cut garnets. Between the largest gemstones are smaller little garnet set into shared claws. The back side is set with rose cut garnets, all of the same size. As is typical of the time period and Czech bracelets, the gemstones are set into a gilt metal. This bracelet is hinged and fastens with a tongue in groove clasp and has an attached safety chain. Circa 1880 - 1900.

Measures 17.5 cm / 6.9 inches inside circumference. This bracelet is slightly oval in shape to keep the design face up on the wrist.

Measures approx 6.8 mm wide at front centre and 4.4 mm at back.
