Antique aquamarine gold ring. An icy blue aqua is set into a classic Victorian multiple claw collet. The collet, 9 carat gold, has had a 22 carat gold band added to it creating a wonderful ring. The rich colour of the band flatters the blue aquamarine, blue and gold are a classic, beautiful combination. Both parts date to the late 19th century, Victorian era, and have been put together.

In good condition. The aqua is set low with the culet slightly beneath the base of the collet. Some light tarnishing where the band and collet have been soldered together, which has been well done.

Aqua: oval shape, pale icy blue in colour. Measures approx 9.1 mm by 6.5 mm and calculated as 1.40 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Partial hallmark for 22ct gold, assayed in London. The aqua is set into a 9 carat gold collet (tested) and let into a small 22 carat gold band.

Size: UK - K.5; US - 5.75; EU - 16,2. This ring can be sized between I.5 / 4.5 / 15,2 and N / 6.75 / 17,2. Resizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 9.5 mm by 7.3 mm on top by 4.4 mm deep at aqua. 2.9 mm wide band.
