Antique citrine heart pendant dating to the Victorian era. This yellow gemstone pendant is faceted into a puffed love heart shape. The gemstone is a gorgeous sunny orangey-yellow in colour. It's been half drilled at the top, between the lobes, so that a 9ct gold bail can be added. This is a bright and sunny necklace and the heart is a good size, making a great pendent on it's simple gold chain. Circa late Victorian, 1870s - 1900.

Citrine: orange-yellow in colour, faceted on both sides to give it a puffed look. On one side, near the top is a small imperfection.

Stamped in two places, 9ct on the bail of the heart and on one of the spring bolt clasp of the chain. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat yellow gold throughout.

Measures approx 2.39 cm / 0.94 inches tall by 1.9 cm / 0.75 inches wide by 1 cm / 0.4 inches deep. Chain is approx 47 cm / 18.5 inches long.
