What a link! It's a beauty, chunky and elegant, a perfect example of an antique anchor link. The sterling silver mariner links are connected by elongated oval, plain links. One end terminates in a large silver dog clip and the other in a rounded jump ring. This sterling bracelet has likely been made from a longer Victorian watch chain. It's a shorter length for a bracelet, 17 cms, and could be used to extend a chain, wonderfully dual purpose! Circa late 19th century, British in origin.
In good condition. There is so thinning between the links to the plain links, though they are secure and it's in keeping with expected wear due to age and use.
Stamped S.S. on the dog clip, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver throughout.
Measures approx 17 cm / 6.7 inches in wearable length. This is a shorter length, suitable for a small or medium sized wrist.
Weighs 19 grams.
