Antique 9ct gold safety pin. This simple 9k gold safety pin is made from medium gauge 1.1 mm rounded wire. It's an older style which is sprung at one end to allow it to catch in it's clasp and secure the sharp end. Antique stock pins have a variety of modern uses from being a simple brooch to securing a shawl or scarf (perfect for those winter months!) or on the end of a chain to lengthen it and give a place to secure charms. Or go Peaky Blinders style and wear it a collar pin. Circa late 19th to early 20th century, British in origin.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold which is rosy in colour.

Measures approx 38.2 mm / 1.5 inches long by 6.4 cm / 0.25 inches tall.
