Beautiful antique 9 carat yellow and white gold fancy link chain. This is a total find! Oblong links have a twisted design in their centres and are connected together with a series of small trace links. The links alternate in a pleasing pattern, three yellow gold then two white links. One end of this chain terminates in a large spring bolt clasp and the other side in a large dog clip clasp. Circa early 20th century, Edwardian era, British in origin.
In very good condition. Both clasps are springy and tight.
Marked 9c on the dog clip and spring bolt clasps. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. The gold is yellow and white in colour.
Measures approx 44 cm / 17.3 inches in wearable length. The links measure approx 11 mm in length and this chain is 1.9 mm wide at it's widest point. The spring bolt clasp is approx 8.95 mm in external diameter and the dog clips is 19.65 mm in length.
