Antique rose cut diamond locket crafted in 9 carat rose gold. This locket, oval in shape, is shiny and smooth, gently convex. Set in the centre in a hand carved starburst design is a 3 mm rose cut diamond. The subtle sparkle of the facets of the diamond combined with the shininess of the gold makes a beautiful combination. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.
Very good condition. Inside are two built in frames, no photo coverings. Minor pinpoint marks in keeping with age and wear.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham. The date letter is rubbed but we think it's a g for 1906. Like most British antique gold, it's between rose and yellow in colour though leans toward red.
Measures approx 32.35 mm / 1.25 inches tall not including the bail by 23.55 mm / 0.95 inches wide by 6.95 mm / 0.25 inches deep.
Weighs 3.4 grams.
