Antique 9 carat gold dog clip dating to the late Victorian to Edwardian era. How very useful! This little sprung joy of a clip would have been an end to a chain, such as watch chain or long guard, and used to fobs, pendant or watch. At one end is a soldered jump ring to allow it to be attached to a chain, such as wearing it like a pendant as shown. This dog clip does not swivel. Circa early 20th century.
This dog clip is in very good condition for it's age with a tight spring, clear 9ct mark, and jump ring soldered closed.
Stamped 9ct on exterior as seen in the photo, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. The gold is rose in colour.
Measures approx 25 mm / 1 inches tall including the end jump ring by 8.4 mm / 0.33 inches wide.
Weighs 2 grams.
Photo on model is the dog clip shown on chain for scale. The chain is available separately.
