Antique long guard chain formed of faceted belcher style links. A beautiful Victorian long guard chain crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. Each link is shaped with flat planes forming a faceted design on every one. The dog clip, which swivels, is similarly faceted. This chain is very tactile and the faceting through shows great attention to detail. Both ends of this chain attach to the dog clip and the chain is long enough to loop around the neck two to three times. Circa late 1800s, likely British in origin.

Not marked, tested as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures 155 cm / 61 inches long and is approx 3.2 mm wide.

Weighs 39.7 grams.
