Antique long guard chain formed of rounded belcher style links. A beautiful Victorian to Edwardian guard chain crafted in 9 carat yellow gold. Each link is smooth and rounded into a circle shape forming a long chain. Both ends of the chain are attached to a large dog clips which swivels. This chain does not open and is long enough to be looped 3 to 4 times around the neck. Circa late 1800s, likely European in origin.

Hallmarked 9c for 9 carat gold on a tag near one end of the chain. Tested as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures 173 cm / 68 inches long and is approx 2.65 mm wide.

Weighs 22.9 grams.
