Beautiful and sparkly toi and moi diamond ring dating to the early 20th century. What a ring! The toi et moi style is striking, with diamond set shoulders leading to a larger transitional / old cut diamond where the bands cross over. This design was popular at the turn of the 20th century and that when this example dates from! Circa 1900 - 1920s, British in origin.

In very good condition with light thinning to the back of the band in keeping with regular wear. The back of the band has been reshanked previously and is a slightly different colour, because this is palm side it cannot be seen when it's being worn and isn't as obvious in person as it in macro photos.

Diamonds: 2, transitional cut measuring 4.00 mm and calculated as 0.25 carats each to total 0.50 carats together. There are 6 single cut diamonds of approx 1.2 mm each to total 0.05 carats together. Total of 8 diamonds, 0.55 carats, G / H colour, VS2 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Faint marks on the interior but any clear hallmarks or stamps have been lost to sizing and age. Professionally tested and assessed as primarily 18 carat gold, which is yellow in colour, with the diamonds set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - L.5; US - 6; EU - 16.5. This ring can be sized between J.5 / 5 / 15,7 and M.5 / 6.5 / 16,9. It can be sized larger, but depending on the size needed that might require a partial reshanking. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 8.3 mm wide at diamonds and rises 5.2 mm tall at diamonds. Back centre of shank measures approx 1.55 mm wide.
