A lovely find! A three leaf shamrock of bloomed gold is incredibly detailed and bright. The shamrock, or three leaf clover, has a small old mine cut diamond to it's centre. A halo of creamy off-white coloured seed pearls line the outer top edge of this pendant and the contrast between the white of the gemstones and the yellow gold is stunning. Circa 1890s - 1910.
Diamond: old mine cut measuring approx 3 mm, 0.11 carats, I / J colour, SI clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Seed pearls: 26, creamy off white in colour and measure approx 2.1 each.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, which is yellow in colour.
Measures approx 23 mm / 0.91 inches in diameter, 8 mm / 0.32 inches in depth.
Weighs 4.4 grams.
