Vintage amethyst paste pendant in 9ct rose gold. This piece start it's life as a brooch which we've converted to a drop pendant. A large faceted purple glass, the colour of amethyst, is set in a thin bezel edge and lined in milgrain beading. Around the outside is a flat, shiny halo. To the top and bottom are little gold accents, making this a bold, stylish piece. The original brooch dated to the 1930s. The conversion, with the concentric ovals and spear through the centre of the mounting, looks very 1970s! Conversion is modern.

Paste: purple amethyst in colour, oval shape. Approx 15 mm by 11.5 mm.

Not marked, it was originally stamped on the pin but that was lost in conversion. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. The gold is rosy in colour.

Measures approx 4.88 cm / 1.92 inches long not including bail by 2 cm / 0.78 inches wide.

Weighs 5.55 grams.


This piece is sold without a chain. We'd recommend a medium to heavier weight chain because of the weight of the piece.
