Pretty vintage engagement ring crafted in two-tone white and yellow gold. This 1940s engagement ring is a beauty! Set in the centre is an old European cut diamond, framed by square shaped corner prong. To the top and bottom is a small pieced design. On either side is a leaf design, outlined in milgrain and set with a diamond in each leaf. The top of this ring is white gold. Diamonds are usually set in white metals as it makes them appear brighter. The rest of this ring is yellow gold, yellow gold being the metal of choice during the mid 20th century. Nothing else looks quite like gold and it's richness cannot be mistaken for another metal making it a popular choice. This ring is wide across the finger but still delicate with the diamond accents and pierced design. Circa 1940s, North American in origin.

Diamonds: centre old European cut, approx 2.9 mm and estimated in setting as 0.10 carats, J / K colour, SI clarity. 4 single cut accent diamonds, approx 0.05 together.

Marked 14K and tested as 14 carat gold.

Size: UK - I 3/4; US - 4 3/4; EU - 15.4. This ring can be sized down to E / 2.5 or up to K / 5.3. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 8.2 mm wide and rises 4.6 mm tall off the finger.

Weighs 1.9 grams.
