Antique Victorian era 9 carat gold earrings. Pierced kidney shaped ear wires are connected to an engraved sphere from which an open metalwork bar swings. At the bottom is a large love knot. The lovers knot is formed of five wires twisted together. Three of them are engraved with a design and two of this are unadorned. The contrast is pleasing to the eye and engraving catches the eye. These earrings swing gracefully with the wearer. Circa 1880s - 1890s, British in origin.

Not hallmarked, tested as 9 carat gold.

Measure approx 5 cm / 2 inches long by 1.58 cm / 0.62 inches at widest point.

Weigh 4.15 grams.
