Antique 9 carat yellow gold keeper ring dating to the late Victorian era. The two gold sections are intertwined across the top with a section of six spheres down the middle. This ring has full and crisp hallmarks dating to the 1890s.
There are a lot of stories about the meaning and history of keeper rings. One being that they were given as a symbol and promise of a marriage to come, much like a modern engagement ring.
Fully hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1896.
Size: UK - P; US - 7 3/4; EU - 18. This ring can be sized down to L / 5.75 and made several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 6.45 mm wide and rises 3.25 mm tall off the finger.
