Vintage three stone opal ring. This ring is set with three opal, oval in shape and graduated in size. The gemstones are set close together in eight claw settings. The claws are white in colour allowing them to blend into the opals. Each of these opals is slightly different! They all have good play of colour and their differences are fun to view under the lights. Circa 1910s, British in origin.
Opal: 3, oval in shape, cabochon cut. Approx 5.1 mm by 3.6 mm, 5.4 mm by 4 mm, and 5 mm by 3.6 mm. Various colours, mostly white body, one is more bluish, with orange and green play of colour.
Stamped 18ct & PLAT. This ring is tested and assessed as being mostly 18 carat yellow gold with platinum claws.
Size: UK - K; US - 5 3/8; EU - 16. Slightly out of round due to previous resizing. This ring cannot be made any smaller. It can be sized several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 6.1 mm by 11.85 mm on top and stands 5 mm tall off the finger.
Weighs 2.2 grams.
