Stunning Art Deco emerald and diamond engagement ring set in a bypass style yellow gold and platinum setting. A bright green emerald cut emerald is set at an angle with a round brilliant cut diamond on either side. The emerald is an incredible colour, great shape, and very clean and clear for an emerald. Framing the emerald is a diamond studded setting in a swirl design. Each side of the swirl is set with three single cut diamonds in an engraved platinum topped setting. The edges of the diamonds are outlined in milgrain beading. Below the diamonds a small ridged detail leads to a sturdy 18 carat yellow gold band. This ring is British in origin and dates to around the 1930s.

Emerald: bright green emerald cut, approx 4.8 - 4.3 mm and calculated in setting as 0.43 carats. Some minor facet and girdle wear visible under magnification, commensurate with age.

Diamonds: 2 round brilliant cut, approx 3.3 mm, and calculated in setting as 0.23 carats, I colour, SI clarity. 6 eight cut accent diamonds approx 0.04 carats together. Total diamond weight, calculated as setting permits is 0.26 carats.

Marked 18ct Plat. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
