Edwardian toi et moi design engagement ring. A sapphire and a diamond are set into the centre of this ring. The two gemstones are bezel set at an angle framed by a carved setting which curves gently around them, hugging them close together.

The toi et moi style ring has long been popular. It's a pretty alternative to a single stone style engagement ring and is meant to represent both people in the couple. The stones are usually the same size. Circa 1890s - 1910s, likely British in origin.

Diamond: old European cut, approx 0.07 carats.

Sapphire: approx 2.7 mm.

Stamps faded and illegible. Tested and assessed as 18 carat gold.
