Antique late Victorian 9 carat chain. This chain has been crafted in a foxtail or snake style link with sections of gold woven together. It makes for a nice strong, sturdy and interesting link. At each end the gold wire is looped through a jump ring and the jump rings attach to an oversized spring bolt clasp. The clasp is perfect for holding large lockets, pendant or sets of charms. The clasp can also be turned to the back of the neck so that this chunk chain appears plain. Circa turn of the 20th century, 1890s - 1900, British in origin.

Stamped 9ct on a link near the clasp, tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures 41 cm / 16.25 inches long and is approx 4.1 mm wide.

Weighs 23.65 grams.
