Antique opal drop earrings set in 9 carat gold. These pierced earrings hold two cabochon cut opal each. The bottom opal is attached to a gold bar from which it swings. The top round cut opal is set at the base of the ear wire and is fixed. The gemstones have incredible play of colour with little flashes of orange and green as they move and catch the light. Circa early 1900s

Opals: 4, cabochon cut. 2 are approx 7 mm by 5.6 mm ovals and 2 are approx 4.2 mm round.

Not marked, tested as 9 carat gold.

Measures approx 3.25 cm / 1.27 inches long and are 6 mm at widest point.

Weighs 1.45 grams.
