Antique Victorian 9 carat gold book chain. The link are crafted as triple rows of gold which are connected at each end. Each of these links is open, oval from the side view. Connecting the triple bar links are fat O shaped links with narrow sides and chubby tops and bottoms. This chain, though over 100 years old, is quite modern in look showing just how timeless Victorian jewellery can be! This chain is a short collar length and features a bolt clasp which is roughly the same size as the O links. The bolt clasp can be used to hold a locket or large pendant or turned to the back of the neck for a fluid chain necklace. Circa late 1800s.

Stamped 9c on a link and on the clasp, tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures approx 48.5 cm / 18 inches long and is approx 8.2 mm wide.

Weighs 13.5 grams.
