Vintage sapphire and diamond engagement ring. This circa 1940s white gold ring is set with a round cut blue sapphire in the centre with a smaller eight cut diamond to either side. The sapphire is set in a fluted style setting, very typical of engagement rings toward the mid 20th century. The shape of the setting nicely frames the sapphire which is set higher than the diamonds. The band of this ring is a soft knife edge with narrows to a D profile at the back. Circa 1940s - 1950s, North American in origin.
Sapphire: approx 4.45 mm and weighs 0.39 carats.
Diamonds: 2, approx 0.04 carats total diamond weight.
Marked 14K for 14 carat gold and tested as such.
Size: UK - J; US - 4 7/8; EU - 15.6. This ring is not recommended for resizing smaller, it can be sized up M / 6.25. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures 6.3 mm wide and stands 6.25 mm tall off the finger.
