Stunning vintage opal and diamond ring! A large oval shape opal cabochon is bezel or rub over set in platinum. The opal has excellent play of colour and displays beautiful flashes of blues, greens and oranges. Encircling the opal are 12 bead set single cut diamonds. Outlining the edge of the opal and the top edge of this ring is very fine milgrain beading. Further engraved beaded detailing can be seen on the top of the shoulders. Underneath the opal is a intricate lattice design which supports the opal. The band of this ring is a slender gold D shape profile. Circa early 20th century.

Opal: measures approx 10.5 mm by 7.1 mm.

Diamonds: 12, eight / single cut and calculated in setting as 0.33 carats total, H - I colour, SI clarity.

Stamped 18ct &. Rest of stamp lost due to previous resizing. Tested and assessed as mostly 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Size: UK - N 1/2; US - 7; EU - 17 1/4. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 and Q.5 / 8.5. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 16 mm by 13 mm and rises 7.1 mm tall off the finger.
