Antique ruby and old cut diamond crescent moon pendant. I just love this piece! My jeweller found this piece as a brooch and converted it to a lovely, wearable pendant. Alternating old cut rubies and diamonds are set into a diamond cut star engraved design. The moon is designed as a waxing crescent and is wider in the centre, tapering to the ends. This is a beautifully designed with a solid outside edge giving it a nice and substantial feel. Circa late Victorian moon, modern conversion.

Rubies: 3 total. 1 of approx 4 mm and 2 of approx 2.5 mm.

Diamonds: old mine cut, approx 2.5 mm each to total approx 0.13 carats, H / I colour, I2 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 12 carat gold. The gold is slightly rose in hue.

Measures approx 2.68 cm / 1.05 inches tall not including the bail by 2.36 cm / 0.93 inches wide.

Weighs 3.8 grams.
