Antique Victorian 9ct snake brooch. This brooch is designed as a coiled snake around a safety pin. The snake's head is set with a single bright red ruby. This is a lovely pin. It's large safety pin design allows it to be easily secured to a coat, shawl or other item of clothing. The snake has a charming face with a wide, happy smile. Dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1880s.

Ruby: red, round cut, approx 2.9 mm.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold.
