Antique 9 carat gold split ring dating to the late Victorian era. This is a lovely and versatile piece. The ring has a split in it, like a key ring does, which allows it to be attached to other jewellery making it very useful as a pendant or charm holder, connecting chains together, or simply a pendant by itself. We've also shown it as a ring because that's how I like to wear mine sometimes! As a ring is fits approx P / 7.75 / 17,9. Circa late 19th century, likely British in origin.
In very good condition, both ends tuck in as they should, and is of similar width and thickness throughout, not overly worn in one place.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is rosy in colour.
Measures approx 17.9 mm internal diameter, 21.7 mm exterior diameter. Profile is approx 2 mm wide by 1.8 mm deep.
Weighs 2 grams.
