Antique 9 carat gold chain dating to the late Victorian era. Short rounded tulip style links are faceted. The links are just lovely, with the facets catching the light. This chain has likely been made from a longer chain or long guard. On one terminating end is a swivelling dog clip and on the other is a large spring bolt clasp. This piece is ready to wear and can be worn with either the clasps to the back for a plain chain or to the front to hold pendants and charms. Circa late 19th to early 20th century.

Stamped 9ct, an old style stamp, on the dog clip. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. The gold is slightly rosy in colour.

Measures approx 54.5 cm / 21.5 inches long by 3.25 mm wide at widest point.

Weighs 12.5 grams.
