Sapphire and diamond three stone engagement ring. This circa 1910s ring is set with a square step-cut sapphire between two old European cut diamonds. The central sapphire is held at it's four corners with the flanking diamonds in eight claw prongs. I love the contrast of blue and white gems and the sapphire simply glows between it's glittering companions. A slender D shape profile shank curves up steeply to reach the gemstone set top. Circa 1910s, British in origin.
Sapphire: approx 4.05 mm square.
Diamonds: 2, old European cut, total approx 0.33 carats, G / H colour, SI2 / I1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped PLATINUM. This ring is tested and assessed as platinum.
Size: UK - K 1/2; US - 5 1/2; EU - 51. This ring can be sized between I / 4.5 / 48 and O.5 / 7.5 / 55,5. Sizing available for an additional fee.
