Antique 9ct gold safety pin. This simple 9k rose gold safety pin is made from heavy gauge rounded wire which has been coiled and shaped to form a working safety pin. Antique safety pins have a variety of modern uses from being a simple brooch to securing a shawl or scarf (perfect for those winter months!) or, our personal favourite, closing a collar of a shirt. Circa 1900, British in origin.

Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, assayed in Birmingham, 1900. The gold is rosy in colour.
