Opal and diamond three stone ring dating to the mid 20th century. This lovely ring features an oval shape opal claw set between two diamonds. The opal has a white body colour with flashes of mostly blues and oranges in the light. The flanking diamonds are single cuts, illusion set within a basket of white gold to add to their presence on the finger. A D shape profile shank is a medium width at the back, tapering and sloping up to the gemstones. Circa mid 20th century, British in origin.

Opal: approx 6.7 mm by 5 mm. Abrasions to girdle and minor age related wear visible under magnification.

Diamonds: 2, single cut, approx 0.06 carats together.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham.
